Satelliittihavaintojen tosivärikuvat / True-color satellite images

[FI] Satelliittihavainnoista tuotetut tosivärikuvat perustuvat ihmissilmälle näkyvään valoon. Tosivärikuvat ovat ns. RGB-kuvia ja ne tuotetaan muodostamalla satelliittien optisten instrumenttien punaisen, vihreän ja sinisen allonpituusalueen havainnoista komposiitti. Tosivärikuvat siis vastaavat likimain tavallisen digitaalikameran tuottamia kuvia. Tarkka-palvelun tosivärikuville on lisäksi tehty vuodenajasta riippuva värisävyjen sovitus, jonka vuoksi kuvien yleissävy vaihtelee hieman vuodenajan mukaan.

Tosivärikuvatuotannossa käytettävät satelliitti-instrumenttien kanavat riippuvat instrumentista:

Sentinel-2 ja Landsat-8/9 -tuotteet tehdään MSI- ja OLI/OLI-2 -instrumenttien kanavien 2-4 yhdistelmänä.

Sentinel-3 -tosivärikuvat tuotetaan OLCI-instrumentin kanavista 4, 5 ja 7.

Landsat-4/5 -tuotteet perustuvat TM-instrumentin kanaviin 1-3.

Envisat MERIS -tosivärituotteet perustuvat MERIS-instrumentin kanaviin 3, 5 ja 7.

Tosivärikuvien tuotannossa hyödynnetään yhteistyökumppanimme Sinergise Ltd:n tietovarantoja ja prosessointikapasiteettia. Tosivärikuvia ei ole saatavilla Syken paikkatietorajapinnoilta. Tosivärikuvien koko arkistoa voi selata Tarkka-palvelussa ja uusimpia havaintoja Merioppaassa.

[EN] The true-color images are based on visible light, and are produced by compositing the red, green and blue wavelength bands of a satellite observation. A further seasonal adjustment is applied to the composite, resulting in a slight variation in the hue of the true-color images depending on the time of year.

The bands used in true-color images depend on the instrument:

Sentinel-2 and Landsat-8/9 products are based on bands 2-4 of MSI- and OLI/OLI-2-instruments.

Sentinel-3 images are produced from the bands 4, 5 and 7 of the OLCI-instrument.

Landsat-4/5 images are based on bands 1-3 of the TM-instrument.

Envisat MERIS -images are produced from the bands 3, 5 and 7 of the MERIS-instrument

The processing of the true-color imagery utilizes the data and processing capabilities of Sinergise Ltd. True-color imagery is not available as WMS-service. The whole archive of the true-color images can be browsed in Tarkka service and the most recent observations in Meriopas.
